Koyo #163 (collector's item)
Koyo (Mr. Aiba Kouichirou)
Tokoname, Japan
34cm x 26.3cm x 7.7cm
Made in 1988. This pot in a less-common shape is one of the few pots that represent the period when Koyo started to use his 'hand built' gingko stamp on pots with the fujisuna underglaze, the black underglaze whose raw material was soon after banned from harvest and could no longer be used.
